Name: Ty Cobb
School: Bemidji State University
Position: OL
Height: 6-2
Weight: 290

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I wanted to make the All-American team and help lead my team to heights BSU has never seen before. And I did, as a captain of the Beaver team, I helped the team reach the national playoffs 3 years in a row. As for the All-American goal, I made the honorable mentions in my first year of starting in 2021, in 2022 I made 2nd team All-American, and we have yet to see what AP/CCA/Don Hansen will post for the 2023 season.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would call me passionate about the game of football to a level not seen in many athletes. My coach’s would call me extremely coachable and easy to work with. My teammates would say that I am a leader who does not use loud words or gestures, instead they would say that I exhibit leadership qualities through my actions.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I focus greatly on my technique and finish. I understood that I was a shorter than most tackles in Division II, so I emphasized technique and tenacity to excel.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I am extremely adaptable and will outwork anyone. I see myself as a guy with a blue-collar mentality (BSU makes this one of their key tenets). If a coach wants me to help the team in any way, I will do so to the best of my ability.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I will be working out at the highly esteemed Training Haus facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I plan to gain about 15 pounds in the coming months before March/April.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I would say my strengths come with being a technician and intellectual football player. I play hard and am always working to approach perfection. I am extremely reliable both on and off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

When given the chance, I will adapt and improve constantly to reach a level that only I know that I am capable of. I will seize the opportunity of a lifetime with a vice grip and I cannot understand a world where Ty Cobb isn’t associated with football in some form.
