Travis Krall: 2019 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Travis Krall
School: Bloomsburg
Position: OG/OT
Height: 6’4.5″
Weight: 306

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

This season I set several goals. First was for my team to win the division and play in the conference championship. We sadly did not reach that goal. As a team we wanted to run the ball for more than 2000 yards this season, we netted 2,045 yards on the ground. For myself, I set goals to earn all conference accolades. I was selected as a Second Team All PSAC east Selection this year for offensive tackle.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

I feel like my coaches would say that I am a hard worker with a driving motivation to always get better. I also feel that they would speak on my leadership abilities and the way I lead by example both on and off the field.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I look for tendencies in the defense such as hand placement, go to moves, how the linebackers fill on the plays, and the overall flow of the defense to the ball. For myself, when watching previous games, I am very critical of myself, even if a play appears great, I think about something that could’ve been done better, whether it be my first step, my own hand placement, timing on combos, etc. I am always trying to critique myself very hard, because I know those little things can make a big difference.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I believe my athleticism for my height and weight separate me. I have a solid body frame for a 300+ lb lineman and can still move well. I am strong at the point of contact on runs, and can set out to a wide rush in pass games. I feel like I am able to move around to any position on the line on any play and perform well. I am a versatile player that can be plugged in wherever needed.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

This offseason I am training at Bloomsburg, following a program from Terry Grosetti of Grosetti Performance. With his program and the staff/equipment available to me at Bloomsburg University, I will be able to push myself harder than ever before to make sure I am ready for any combines/pro days that I will be attending, with a goal to open the eyes of any scouts in attendance.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I have always been a leader, both on and off the field. I was a team captain both in high school and in my senior year at Bloomsburg. I have always been a student in good academic standing and have worked just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. I bring the ability to play any position on the line and move around to wherever there is a gap to fill. I am a very dependable player, one that can always be counted on to be on the field and helping the team win.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My final pitch to scouts would be that I am a long, athletic, and strong offensive lineman, with the versatility to play any position on the line. I have a high football IQ, and do my best to know the assignments of all 5 positions on the field in order to keep everyone on the same page. My leadership qualities have lead me to hold myself and teammates to a much higher standard both on and off the field. I am a motivated and dependable player that will do everything in my control to be the best player I can be for any team.
