Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The goals that were set was to win a conference championship and just be better than I was last season. We actually did win a championship and went down as probably the greatest Samford football team ever. We won the conference championship outright and also went to the quarterfinals of the playoffs. This is something that hasn’t been done since 1991.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say that I am a great leader and that I laid the foundation of how to be a great teammate and what it takes to win ball games. They would say that I am unselfish in all aspects of life and that i will give everything i do 1000% of effort.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on my steps and my hand placement when going against other people. I also breakdown all of my opponents and I put situations of how I would get out of that situation. I also think about moves i can do in the pass rush when I am watching film. Film is another way that give me an advantage to make a play when i am going against someone. I take film very important and it’s something that i do everyday while trying to find ways to be better as a player and increase my knowledge.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

The thing that makes me a top prospect in the draft is how versatile I am as a defensive lineman. I have been apart of multiple defensive schemes that’s given me the opportunity to increase my knowledge of football. Not only do I know what my position is doing during a certain play but I also know what the other 10 positions are doing as well. This gives me the opportunity to play faster and make more plays. Even if I do not make the tackle I make sure my job is well done so that it gives other guys the opportunity to make the play. When it’s my time to make the design play I will.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I will be training in Birmingham, Alabama and just improving all of the areas that I need to improve in. I am going to play in a bowl game to showcase my talent to pro scouts. I’m going to give it my all so i am prepared for all the professional opportunities.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am willing to help anyone, if I have the tools I am willing to give them to anyone that needs them. I will lead the way and that i am not afraid of any challenge. I am very strong minded and just a very hard worker that’s going to give it my all.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I promise you that if you select me on your team you will not regret it. I am going to give it my all no matter what. I can play every position in the defensive line for your team.
