Tanner Quick: 2019 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Tanner Quick
School: Colorado Mesa
Position: TE
Height: 6’5″
Weight: 255

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

The main goal that I was able to accomplish in my final season was making myself some one my teammates and coaches could count on in both the pass game and the run game.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

I feel my coaches would say that I’m a team player, I never complained about how many balls got thrown my way. I was someone they knew would get the job done no matter what the job is.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I start by watching my footwork, bad footwork = bad play. I also look at my pad level and hand placement.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I’m a blocking tight end, one of the best in the nation. I feel there is no one that I cannot block. I’m willing to take a DE on one on one in both the run and pass game. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’m working on my speed and acceleration during this offseason because that is the main thing that the other TEs in the draft have more of.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field I’m a tough nosed player that doesn’t take plays off. Off the field I’m a quiet guy who will not be in trouble with the law or in the media for a negative reason.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

If you give me a shot, when you ask me to do a job it will get done. I will continue to bust my tail and always keep improving.
