Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I set the goal of being an all conference receiver in my last year. It was uncertain what type of role I would have on the team with an all American receiver as my teammate, a new head coach and a first year Offensive coordinator but i achieved my goal of being all conference even though I only played 8 out of the 10 regular season games. Of course I set the goal of winning a conference championship for my last year but it’s a team game and you cannot control the outcomes of some games.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

If my coaches and teammates were to describe the type of player I am they would say I am a leader. They would also say that I am a hard worker that never gives up no matter the situation and a player coach.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When studying film, the things I focus on to my improve my game include seeing where the db was aligned and what release I took and making sure that was the most effective move to make. or if the db or linebacker was playing zone making sure i gave him my back so he doesn’t get his hands in my chest. When running double moves, I like to make sure that it looks like I sold the first move to set up the second one and I also make sure to look to see if I got my head around fast enough to put myself in the position to make an easier catch if the qb decided to throw it to me. One last thing I look for on the film is when I am running a route to get someone else open, I like to make sure I ran my route to draw either the safety, corner, or linebacker away from my teammate, depending on the concept, to make the read easier for the qb.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

As a slot receiver I believe the main thing that separates me from the other pro prospects at my position is my understanding of the game from a different perspective. I played quarterback before I played receiver so I take pride in understanding the offense down to a T. For example, I know how to identify coverages and disguises, I also know how to adjust to defenses when they either blitz, drop a d lineman into coverage, or roll safeties to my side or away from where I am aligned. I also know how to identity the soft spots in the coverage and when it’s man I can still get open whether they are in press or in a catch man technique. I just understand the spacing of the field very much.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities is to train with my trainer Dylan Bradley at EBS Performance back home in Costa Mesa, California.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Strengths and abilities that I would bring to any team I am on is strong leadership, a man who wants to see everyone reach their full potential and will help them get there. Also, a player who has a very high ceiling and a high motor to reach his full potential. A coachable player ready to whatever it takes to put the team in the best position to win and be great.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I am a guy from Moreno Valley, CA who was blessed enough to have a shot at playing college football out of state, some people never even leave the city let alone the state and I made the most out of that opportunity, I ended up a starter, captain, and all conference receiver and was no where close to reaching my full potential as a leader or an athlete. This opportunity would mean the world to me and my family and I am ready and prepared to get to work to be the player, leader, and man that any organization needs me to be.
