Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The goal I set for myself this season is simple and broad… Win everything. That comes down to not only games but winning breakfast, winning the morning lift, winning practice, etc. My goal was to leave no doubt before I left college, that I am and will be the best and hardest working long snapper to come through the program.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I believe my coaches would say I’m one of the hardest working guys in any environment I’m in. I believe they would mention my leadership abilities as well. I have a God giving ability to motivate and get the most out of those around me and I believe they would testify to that as well. If there were 3 phrases I think they would narrow it down to, I believe they’d use hard working, talented, and a leader.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Some of the things I focus on are the ability of the players I’m competing against mobility and agility in their hips and ankles. I check to see if they are reactionary blockers or if they tend to over pursue. I also watch the other teams long snapper as well in order to try and help my team get an edge on punt/FG blocks. I check if he hitches or has any other indicators as to when he will snap the ball, as well as his mobility and ability to cover down field.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from others in my position is not only my dedication and commitment to getting better, but also my coachability and my leadership skills. I believe my snaps and my ability on the field speaks for itself and I also believe I bring a lot more to a program than my ability to get the job done day in and day out.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

The way that I am preparing is I am working with the head strength trainer at UTPB and setting up times to train at my position with other athletes. As well as being paired with a personal trainer, I am also a health science major with a focus in exercise science and would love to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. I’m pairing with trainers and nutritionists at my university as well as outside training and the application of my own training strategies. I train with a different mindset than most and take training very seriously. The weight room is where I live.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Some of the strengths I bring to a team would be the ability to lead and motivate through any adversity that might present itself. I also bring a strong dedication to bettering myself and the program I’m apart of. I hate losing more than I love to win and I bring a special type of fire to a team that’s hard to match. My energy and love for this game and my commitment to consistent excellence sets me apart from all. Off the field I take part in countless community service projects and aid in community events as well as the university. I’m the president of numerous clubs including the strength and conditioning club, distinguished gentlemen’s club, and hold office positions in numerous others. On and off the field I am committed to bettering anything that I am apart of and look forward to challenges instead of running from them.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

An opportunity is all I need. Plain and simple once you see me do what I do and perform you’ll be sold. I’m the type of guy who can come in and change the culture of a program and lead from the front. I take challenges head on and ask for more. I’ve dedicated my life to this art and given the opportunity I will not disappoint. I look forward to speaking with you and would be more than grateful for any opportunities presented.
