Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The goals I had set out for my first collegiate season was to be on the field as much as possible, whether it was field goal, special teams, or offense. I believed that the more experience you had and the amount of comfort you had on the field would pay off later on in college.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I believe my coaches and teammates would say I’m a hard worker, detail oriented, and the guy who will show up no matter what.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I have a progression when it comes to watching films. First , I will identify the formation and defensive look, second I will break down what kind of play it is (if the information isn’t provided), third I like to put myself in the players shoes and process the footwork, blocking technique, and anticipate what the defense will do.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I enjoy the whole process of being a tight end. What I mean by that is I love to block my butt off from various formations, sniffer position, fullback position, three point stance, split out receiver. Not only do I take pride in my blocking, I take tremendous pride in my strong hands and route running. One thing I always tell people why I enjoy playing tight end is this, “I love pancaking a guy on one play and scoring a touchdown the next play.”

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My offseason training involves lifting 4-5 days a week. On top of that I will also include speed training, running routes with a QB, and footwork drills, doing this up to 4-6 days a week. It is also important that I maintain a balanced and healthy diet that keeps me in performance shape.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

One of my biggest strengths on the field is that I am a swiss army knife. Not only can I bring production at the tight end position but I can also play all special teams with effort and consistency. My off the field strength is that I will represent any team well by showing up to places on time, being kind to fans I meet, and trying to support and promote the team brand.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My final pitch to any professional team that wants to give me an opportunity is that I’m the guy you want on your team. I love to play the game of football, I don’t carry baggage with me, I don’t care about the amount of money I make, etc.. I’ll show up every day, work my butt off, be a good teammate, and most importantly help the team and organization win on the field and off the field.
