Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I wanted to lead the team in sacks and get 1st team all conference.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I lead by example and my football IQ is very high. I also think they’d say that I am a game changer and make make a lot on critical downs.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When studying film I like to look at the offensive linemen’s tendencies, especially the offensive tackles. For example, I try to see if the OTs have different stances for run/pass. If they have high hands, low hands or bluff their hands on pass pro. Also like to see if the OT tends to turn his shoulders in his stance which usually tells you where the ball is going based on the formation. All of these tendencies determine what pass rush moves and angles I use during plays.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My explosiveness, speed on the edge and football IQ separates me from other prospects.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I’ll be focusing on continuing to get even faster and stronger but also continue to work on my technique.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I believe that I bring quickness and relentless effort every play on the field. I also am a student of the game and am willing to watch hours of film with and without coaches in order to understand what needs to be done to be able to contribute for my team.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

It has always been a dream of mine to play football professionally so I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make that come true. I played linebacker in high school so I’ve switched positions in the past and still have had success so I’m definitely open to changing positions if I need to.
