Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?
Rontez: Deone Bucannon ILB for the Arizona Cardinals. I believe I’m flexible like he is. He’s a safety converted linebacker like I am, so he has an advantage when guarding backs or receivers.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Rontez: When watching film, I’m looking for tendencies that will give you a hint of the plays. I also watch for the down and distance and the play calling in certain situations.
Q: What separates you from other players at your position?
Rontez: I think the things that separate me from others at my position is my safety background. I believe that gives me an advantage when I have to guard receivers or backs.
Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Rontez: The abilities I believe I bring, is me being versatile and flexible and being able to play multiple positions. Off field, I believe I am a positive influence and I’m a team oriented person I’m willing to do what I can do for the team.
Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Rontez: I may not be the most athletic or best player on the field, but I’m going to always give you effort and my all every play I am out there. I’ll give you my all and I will be the best I can be.
