Name: Kevin Lacey
College: Tuskegee
Position: Quarterback
Height: 6’6″
Weight: 195
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Kevin: A smooth operator.
Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Kevin: I have been training to add some bulk to my frame. I have a slender build, but my playing style has kept me away from any major injuries.
Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?
Kevin: I don’t want to sound cocky, but I would say Randall Cunningham. Our ability to make plays outside the pocket and on the run are some things I bring to the table as well.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Kevin: I look for tendencies. What does a defense does when faced with certain situations? A lot of defenses unconsciously have a triggerman who gives away a blitz or certain coverage. When I find him I know it’s on.
Q: What separates you from other players at your position?
Kevin: My mental sets me apart. I think the game as well as anyone in my opinion and my mental toughness is outstanding.
Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Kevin: My people skills. I can read people exceptionally well and I know how to get the most out of my teammates.
Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Kevin: If you want a consistently high level of QB play with no off the field problems, then I’m your guy.
