Name: Kenny Moore
College: Valdosta State
Position: Defensive Back
Height: 5’9″
Weight: 188
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Kenny: Disciplined, Natural, Competitor.
Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Kenny: I trained with Brian Griffitts at SPARTA in Fishers, Indiana.
Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?
Kenny: Tyrann Mathieu, we are the same size, but we play bigger than what we are listed. He can move all over the field, has a nose for the football, and a tremendous competitor. I relate.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Kenny: I look at route tendencies during down and distance and consistent checks from the quarterback. Wide receiver splits and stemming off the LOS on certain routes would be very helpful for me. As well as what kind of routes or converting routes he would do if I were to be in press.
Q: What separates you from other players at your position?
Kenny: My lack of experience separates me from other players so I still feel fresh into the game. I’ve had a new Defensive Coordinator or Defensive Back Coach every year of college so I know I’m able to learn any type of system given. I understand the little things like body language, eye discipline, and tempo speed to recognize routes and checks to come up with the football or tackle.
Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Kenny: I will bring competition on the field, my size wouldn’t be a factor because I trust my speed and length to become a trusted defender. I’m not a follower off the field so I’m a responsible guy and I have a humbled attitude.
Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Kenny: I can live up to the nickel and special teams player to make your team better. I know how to do my job and live up to the standards at stake.
