Name: Keithon Redding
College: Faulkner
Position: Wide Receiver
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 210
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Keithon: Physical, smooth, and explosive.
Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Keithon: I’m currently training at the Atlanta Sports Complex in Atlanta. It was a little difficult at first trying to train everyday and work a full time job to provide for my kid. I had to sacrifice my job because I didn’t let my situation determine how I was going to prepare for this process. I worked my tail off every time I stepped in the gym and on the field.
Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?
Keithon: I would say Dez Bryant, because we’re both big, physical, and flat out playmakers. We’re both good with the ball in our hands and can make the best defenders miss tackles.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Keithon: When I watch film I try to read and understand defenses and see how I can beat the defender’s techniques.
Q: What separates you from other players at your position?
Keithon: What separates me from other players at my position is my work ethic and I’m versatile. As a Wideout, I love to block, not most players at my position can say that with confidence or honesty. I also started on four different special teams and willing to play ST on the next level as well.
Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Keithon: The abilities I’d bring to a team is that I love to learn. Just as I love to learn off the field. Kids in my community look up to me and they love to learn from me, so not only do I get to teach them about football, I also teach them the importance of life. I want to give back to my community and make it a more safer and better community for the youth. I’m all about the youth.
Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Keithon: I’m one the most underrated players in this draft class simply because I’m a small school guy. But none of that means anything to me because I’m a real deal baller. I take pride and I love what I do. My life story can win a Oscar, so making it to this point of my life is more than a blessing. I just need that one team to give me just one shot and I promise the rest will be history.
