Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Joe: Tough, Smart, Nasty.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Joe: I’m going to work on playing guard and long snapping, so that I can be as versatile as possible. I will also work on my quickness so that I can get to the second level as fast as possible.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Joe: AQ Shipley. We are similar in stature and also the way we play the game. It’s not about measurables, it’s about playing football and I think that he is a heck of a ball player. He’s nasty, tough, and smart, all things that I try to be like.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Joe: I look at the safety rotations and linebacker placements to get down what they are trying to do schematically. Then, I break down each defensive lineman and what tendencies they give away. Check for foot placement to see if it will give me a tell when they are moving.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Joe: My work ethic, love for the game, and the amount of passion that I play which separates me from the rest. You can’t measure heart, that’s my motto.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Joe: I would bring a true blue collar mentality to whatever team I get a chance to play for. I’ll also be a great teammate and be completely bought into the process.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Joe: I’ll be the first guy in and the last one leaving the building everyday and I will strive every day to earn my teammate’s and coaches’ trust.
