Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Derrick: Aggressive Sure Tackler.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Derrick: I am currently training in Woodstock at Fury Performance working on my weaknesses until they became strong points. I am also working on my strengths.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Derrick: I wold say Eric Berry. He’s a strong force in the run game and is just as good in the passing game.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Derrick: Tendencies from the receivers, Quarterback, and lineman to get a run or pass read.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Derrick: The ability to be that trigger player and being able to get the defense lined up.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Derrick: It kind of gets overlooked nowadays, but a person that leads by example on and off the field and always a hardworking dedicated player that all he ever needed was a chance to prove himself.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Derrick: That they will be getting a guy that will bust his tail day in and day out and you’re only going to get the best from me.
