Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Christian: My style of play in 3 words would be: relentless, explosive, and intelligent.
Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Christian: I started preparing for the draft immediately after my season ended by training with former Super Bowl winning Defensive Back, Tyrone Carter. We worked thoroughly on technique and covering in space. I am currently training in Michigan with a World Class speed & strength coach, Jim Kielbaso. I plan on getting back to work with Tyrone after pro day as well.
Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?
Christian: I like to compare myself to Clay Matthews. He’s got that same relentless motor I have and he plays wherever the team needs him, whether that’s inside or outside backer.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Christian: When I am studying film, I like to focus on the stance of the guard, tackle, and tight ends to see if I can pick up any keys, whether they are running or passing. I also like to look for certain formation tendencies and what sets offenses like to run certain plays out of.
Q: What separates you from other players at your position?
Christian: I think my first step, lateral movement, and ability to diagnose plays are a few things that separate me from other players.
Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Christian: I will bring a winning and positive attitude to the team that will be contagious. I also refuse to be out worked and will force others around me to work just as hard as I do.
Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Christian: My final pitch would be that they’ll never regret taking a shot on me. I know everyone likes to look at the pro day/combine numbers and analysis, but you can’t measure heart and I’m willing to put mine up against anyone’s in the country. I’m a firm believer of my abilities and talents, and I’m ready to do whatever it takes to make a team.
