Moses Harris: 2019 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Moses “Moe” Harris
School: Castleton
Position: RB/KR
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 212

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

The goals I accomplished this season were rushing for 1,000 yards, having 1,700 all purpose yards, and was named All-Conference RB and KR. I also had the chance to play in a couple of all star games to showcase my talents.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

Coaches would say I’m hardworking and my work ethic is unmatched! I’m very coachable and will do whatever it takes for the team to win. I give everything I have on every single play of the game.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film, I look at my footwork and I look at the holes, cut back lanes and how I could have made the play a touchdown or a more successful play. I also look to see if I could have done more to help the team with my play on each rep I’m in the game. I always watch the other teams’ tendencies to see how they like to play and who’s physical and aggressive in the game. When you watch what the other team does, it prepares you to counter it.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates me from other running backs is my height and how versatile I am. I can line up as a receiver and catch the ball. I’m also able to run between the tackles and I can bounce outside. I think I have the ability to break a run off for a touchdown anywhere on the field and or catch the ball and do the same.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I will train with my trainer and other athletes that are preparing to play football after college as well. I’m going to train day in and day out giving it my best in the gym and on the field to keep improving my game and my times to get myself in the best shape for my opportunity.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I bring my work ethic and my ability to inspire others around me and make them into better people and players. I bring my passion and love for the game. I won’t let anyone around me slack off or cut reps, everything is all or nothing everyday. I’m a determined person, so when we’re on the field or in the gym, it’s 100%. Off the field, I’m much more relaxed, I try to make everyone feel welcome around me and I’m always making jokes to get people to ease up and laugh. Football is tough, you have to be able to laugh sometimes.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My final pitch would be, you won’t find another running back with my height that has the skill set that I bring to the table. I have a passion for the game and love this game more than anything. I’m just looking for one team to take a chance on me and they won’t regret it! If you’re looking for someone to go all in, all the time, I’m the best guy for the job. I’ve been working for this so long and I won’t let anything stand in the way of my dreams and goals.
