Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My individual goal going in was to finish the season as a 1st team all-conference player and my team goal was to first win the conference, then go win the national championship. Neither of these happened, but we finished 1st in the conference in total offense, tied for 3rd in the country in total yards, and finished 6th in the country in rushing yards. I finished the season with 100 knockdown blocks, started every game and ended my college career with 41 games played.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say I bring a very physical presence to our offense. I was recruited to SAU to bring more toughness to our offensive line, and last season my head coach expressed that they were relying on me to spearhead our rushing attack this season up front. They would also say I am an extremely hard worker and that I give great effort in everything I do on the field and off the field.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I look at all kinds of things like my footwork, my hand placement, hat placement, pad level, back angle, the type of pass set I take vs different looks, and different techniques to use in the run game. All the fine details are so critical for leveling up an offensive lineman’s game at this level and beyond. I also look at my individual matchups on defense that week and examine things such as what type of pass rush moves they like to use, how they play the run, how they execute games and what type of blitzes we’ll see up front.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I’ve always been one of the strongest players at my position since I’ve entered college, and having that trait allows me to road grade defenders and control the line of scrimmage, regardless of opponent. I’ve also always been very good in the passing game and I take a lot of pride in keeping my quarterback clean in the pocket, no matter what it takes.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I’ve been utilizing the weight room at my school as well as training agility, footwork, and speed on our football field to prepare for the combine I’ve been invited to this spring.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring a physical presence for your team in the run game, be rock solid in the passing game, and I will be a guy you can lean on in the most critical moments in a game. Off the field I will represent the team with class and dignity, as well as giving back to the community in any way that I can.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

All I ask for is an opportunity. I’m extremely passionate about this game and pursuing a common goal with my teammates, coaches, and everyone else involved. Whether it’s the NFL, CFL, XFL, USFL or whomever, you will not regret signing me.
