Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

My main goal this past season to was contribute significantly/positively for our defense. I definitely accomplished that by consistently making plays each week.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I’m a hard working player that is extremely resilient. I’m always working hard because hard work makes up for what you may lack. And resilient because I don’t let anything hold me back or keep me down. No matter the circumstance, I continue to work until I’ve succeeded.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I’m studying film I like to first take note of things that I may have messed up on or that I could have done better on so I can know what to immediately work on or focus in on. I then study and try look for any tendencies or things that stand out that help to indicate what kind of play is coming up. So whether that’s some kind of difference in stance when dealing with run, pass, power or draw. Just anything that will help me recognize faster which will lead me to making more plays.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I’d say my mentality and work ethic separate me from everyone else. My mentality because you honestly have to be a little crazy to not only play Dline, but enjoy playing. You’re banging literally every play and that’s something that I enjoy. It’s fun dominating the person across from you play after play, beating them play after play. And aside from my mentality, my work ethic. My hard work has transformed me. I am a completely different and significantly better player now than I was when I first entered college. Some people are born with it, and some have to work for it. I’ve definitely worked for it and fell in love with the process.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’m currently training at a facility called Per4orm in Davie, Florida. We work 6 days a week doing literally everything. We have 6 different coaches that all specialize in different areas so again we’re working and doing literally everything. I’ve already noticed many big improvements such as increases in strength, and major improvements in my running form. The best part about it is that I still have so much more time. But all in all, I’m working extremely hard and tapping into parts of me I didn’t even know I had.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My final sales pitch to NFL scouts and other pro scouts would be that I know I’m a pretty good player now, but imagine how much farther your organization could take me.
