What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Some goals I set were to lead by example and to be resilient and I achieved both of those. In the beginning of the season I didn’t play as much as I would have liked but as the season went on I played more and more especially in the big time games and I even ended up starting in our playoff game.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I worked out more consistently, I had to learn a new playbook so I made sure I knew that during covid even though I knew we weren’t going to have a season but I knew eventually we would and I wanted to be ready for it. My coach always preached alignment, assignment, technique and I never messed up with my alignment or assignment. My way of doing that was by buying a white board and I had a list of the plays next to me and just continuously kept drawing the plays 5 days week. Not only did I draw my position but I drew the other 3 positions just in case my teammates had questions while we were lining up. I had zoom calls with my coaches and asked many questions on coverages and ways to potentially beat them with certain plays.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I am very energetic, eager to learn and an extremely hard worker who never backs down from a challenge.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film I watch how I reacted to the press, if I’m over striding at the top of my breaking point for all routes. I also watch to see if I am making it obvious for the defender to know what I am running, my separation, if I’m fading or if the ball is fading me. As well as if I could have stacked the corner better or to see how my catch, tuck, turn up field was. I watch to see if the catch could have been made clearer. I count my step to see how many it took to come out of my break. I watch to see how I reacts to zones and how I could get into the windows faster. I watch to see how my blocking was during a run play.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My determination. I don’t back down from any challenge and I always go 110% regardless of the battle I know I am facing and I do it with a smile on my face because I love competition. I also learn from my mistakes very quickly I am super coachable and eager to learn.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

To increase my speed, stamina and jumping abilities I joined the track team to run the 100,200, 4×1 and long jump. I do all of the tracks lower body work outs and I still work on my upper body strength with the strength and conditioning coach Phill Wiltshire. After all my track practices I go and get catches and work on some agility and some position specific things with some of my former teammates.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field I bring great energy day in and day out rain, snow or shine while continuing to try to get better in my areas of weakness I always push others to be the best they can! Off the field I’m always still trying to improve my craft with becoming and better athlete but also a better person. Family and close friends means everything to me and when I have time I make sure I am spending time with them.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

All my life I have been overlooked. Teams and coaches have failed to notice me as a valuable player. I’m a versatile player who can play offense, defense, and special teams when given the chance to show my skills and potential. My love for the game is shown through my determination to never quit even when being doubted by others. For instance, during the biggest game of our season, the coach gave me a chance to ignite a spark in our offense. The result was a 45-yard touchdown to tie up the game against Brockport which at the time was a team we didn’t beat for 3 years. With my willingness to be coachable and my love for the game, all I am asking for is an opportunity to prove it!
