Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Some of the goals I set each year isn’t based on accomplishments or accolades, my goals are always to be at the ball make those game changing plays for my team . Watching my film I definitely can say I accomplished these goals each season I’ve played.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Relentless, whether it was playing through a dislocated big toe or my mentally I’m in the film room I attacked everything in a relentless way, never outworked and always finding a way to do my job!
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Outside of the basics such as what my alignment and assignment to certain formations will be I found it beneficial to watch film and key in on personal and situation to get a feel of what teams like to after things such as sacks, TFLs and big plays . I feel like this has helped me with my anticipation throughout my career. It’s help me play without hesitation and create these game changing plays. I take pride in recognizing plays and shooting my shot.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My relentlessness, no one will out work me, no one will watch more film then me , my understanding of concepts and what an offense is trying to do really has excelled me on the field.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I have been attacking training with my trainer, lifting 5 times a week with 2 days of cardio and 3 days of acceleration /speed training . And of course watching film and learning each day.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Strengths I will bring to a team is my leadership , something I have done my whole life was be a leader on my team, 3 year captain in college is something I really took pride in. As to my abilities I will bring an explosive linebacker to the fold, the ability to play sideline to sideline and be able to match up in pass coverage is something I can bring to a team as well and my film can speak to that.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
Take a chance on me and it’ll come back in the greatest way for us all, looking passed my “undersized frame” and looking at my film and my playmaking ability and my mismatch I create with O-linemen.
