Josiah Hunter: 2019 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Josiah Hunter
School: Stephen F. Austin
Position: OT
Height: 6’5″
Weight: 315

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

I didn’t give up a lot of sacks this past season. This is one thing I have accomplished.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

They would say that I am a hard worker and very passionate about the game. And I absolutely love the game. My heart is always in it and I will perform to the max of my abilities to put our team in the best position to win.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on my opponents strength. I see how they move. How many steps it takes to engage. I focus on the little things that I can learn before the snap of the ball.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I hate to lose. I work on my craft until I can’t be beaten. I don’t stop until I am satisfied (there’s always room to improve). I learn from other athletes mistakes and try to perfect it.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

This offseason is still in school so I train daily on and off the field. I utilize the resources I have.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I watch A LOT of film. I learn what my opponent will do before the ball is snapped. His demeanor shows me everything. I have great technique and I’m patient when it comes to the point of attack.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Adding me to your roster will be a great asset. I came from juco and I am well developed and just need the opportunity to prove that I belong in the NFL. Given that opportunity coaches won’t be disappointed.
