Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goal was to play at my dream college and get All- PAC 12 team. My goal was cut short due to an injury that I received early in the season, so I missed a big part of the season, but I was able to come back for the last couple games and do my job. I accomplished the goal of playing at my dream school, but due to injury did not get to have the season that I anticipated on having.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say that I am a determined and hard worker that will put in the time and effort to get the job done at a high level.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I look at my technique in all my game and practice clips. I look at the things I could improve on and I look at the things I did well. Specifically, for punting I look at my drop and whether it was good or not, how my leg swing was, and where my point of contact with the ball was.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I would say that my experience and accomplishments separates me from the others. I have been able to work my way up from being a Division II All-American to playing at a Power 5 school. My work ethic also separates me from competition.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I will be working with Rausch Kicking, Punt Factory, and multiple other coaches this off-season. I will also be attending multiple combines for specialist to compete against other draft eligible punters. I will also be training and doing senior combines with Zauner Kicking and Kohl’s Kicking.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Leadership has always been a strength of mine, and the ability to perform. Off the field I am great with building connections with fellow players/Teammates.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I am a player that puts in the extra work to get the things I want accomplished to be accomplished. I have always had an underdog mentality that has helped me get to where I wanted to go. It was always a goal and dream of mine to play at the power 5 school of Arizona State University, but in high school I didn’t start taking punting too seriously until my senior season. I was able to earn a scholarship offer to a division two school (Utah Tech), so I went there out of high school with the goal still in mind to go bigger and chase my dream. With hard work and perseverance I became the DII first team All-American punter as a freshman. After that season I transferred to New Mexico State University. I had 3 great season of playing there and had the opportunity to graduate transfer to my dream school of ASU for my final season. Long story short is that my hard work got me to where I wanted to be at. It is my goal to play at the next level, and I know I can get there with my hard work.
