Johnathan Boone: 2019 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Johnathan Boone
School: New Mexico State
Position: WR
Height: 6’2″
Weight: 200

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

I prepared my butt off and controlled what I could control as best I could. I had goals of getting invited to senior bowl & combine and that didn’t happen. Just hungry to prove my worth and that I can produce for any NFL team.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

Competitor and Play Maker for sure.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

Literally every aspect from how I could have released better, worked my hands more, stacked better, been more physical, got over my toes more, or attacked the ball better. Literally every aspect of being a WR I try to improve on day to day.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My sharpness and detail on my routes and consistency to get open and being clutch.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I will train at Tom Shaw Performance.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring a contagious work ethic and competitiveness to a team. I will prove to be trusted by my coaches and teammates that I can make plays consistently for my team.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I’m a true dawg, got a crazy story like most of them. Don’t judge me on my college career as I know it wasn’t enough on paper to be considered a top player and to give me a shot to prove my abilities and make plays for your team.
