Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
I obtained my goal of being an All-Conference selection 3 years in a row, beating our conference rivals, and elevating my game in my final season.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
My coaches would say I am a hard worker on and off the field and an extreme competitor. Always uplifting and encouraging my teammates rather than getting down when things get tough.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I am studying film, I like to visualize myself running certain routes and how I will attack the different techniques of the DB’s and LB’s. Reading coverages and studying their tendencies on down & distance situations are very important also.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I believe my size and strength, along with sure hands and catching the ball in traffic sets me apart from other Wide Receivers. I’m not afraid to catch the ball knowing I will get hit full speed by a Safety or Linebacker across the middle, and I’m hard to bring down on first contact.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I am currently training at the Shockwave Strength and Performance Facility in Newport News, Virginia with current and former NFL athletes. I plan on returning to finish school and get my degree while continuing to train on campus for an upcoming pro day.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field, I have the ability to make plays wherever I am needed. I played offense, defense, and special teams to help our team win on Homecoming, while recording two interceptions against a Gagliardi QB finalist (DIII heisman). I have high 4.5/low 4.6 40 speed at 215 pounds, and after the catch, I have the ability to run by, run over, stiff-arm, and even hurdle defenders. Off the field, I possess above a 3.2 GPA and have been involved in many volunteer and charity events in the community.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Even though I played Division III football, I believe I can compete with talent from any level. I played Division I football, and have competed against professional talent, but transferred to E&H for personal reasons. Playing Division III football exposed me to athletes not on scholarship that played out of pure love for the game at 100% effort every play. This molded me into a better player and heightened my love for the game. I believe showcasing my talents at a pro day, and getting an opportunity professionally, I’ll be able to prove every scout what I’m worth and how DIII athletes can compete.
