Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
One of the personal goals I’ve set for this year is to become a better leader by example and being able to lead vocally as well. I wanted to allow my teammates to be able to trust me on and off the field and bring energy non-stop.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches would say that I’m very coach able, I am a natural leader who responds to adversity. They would praise my work in the weight room as a Dog, someone whose constantly challenging his teammates to get better. My teammates would describe me as an energetic leader whose always looking for a way to get better.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film on myself I looks for the mistakes I’ve made first and what i could have done to not been wrong on that rep, then i look at the plays i did correct and try to figure out how I could have done better or been more of an impact on that play. When I study film on opponents, i look for their tendencies, from how a receiver comes off the line, how a QB releases the ball, all the way up to how a linemen adjusts his alignment when he’s pulling etc.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I would say what separates me is my knowledge of the game. I understood concepts of the game from a very young age and i was always able to predetermine what was going to happen and make a play or at least be around the ball.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I’m going to work out with some teammates from back home whose also training for the draft , I’m going to focus on staying in shape and understanding the game. I’m going to try to get my 40 time as low as possible, and try to impress at my pro-day.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I think one of the biggest strengths is that i am a motivator, I’m always energetic. I’m not afraid to lead, i am always looking for the next opportunity to make my team better, even if is solely on special teams, or doing something to help out then community.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
If you looking for someone to help impact instantly with a high motor, this is what i can bring. My team is like my family and family is everything.
