What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
A goal I had set for my final season was being able to play for a championship. We fell short in the 2nd round but we still had a very successful season. Individually, I wanted to be voted 1st team All-Conference. I was able to do so in a pretty tough conference, so I was very grateful to receive that honor.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I’m a guy that loves to play the game of football. Also someone who is coachable and open to critique to maximize my potential. Probably most of all a player that loves his teammates.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When watching film, I make sure to check for loafs, missed blocks or assignments, drops, bad routes/releases, or anything I felt I could’ve done better. Being able to see it in film then go correct in practice is how you improve. Only focusing on the good plays leaves room for complacency in my opinion.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I think my attention to detail is what separates me from others at my position. It’s the little things that get you open and allow you to make plays for your team. I take pride in not letting a part of my game become a weakness.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I’ve been preparing in Arizona for my pro day. Going 6 days a week, for two and a half months. Fine tuning every part of my game, trying to be the best player I can possibly be. Whatever opportunity may present itself, I’m making sure I’m ready when it does.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I feel as if I’m electric on the field with both my play and energy. I see myself as an every down receiver that can also bring the big play spark that’s needed at times. I say natural leadership would also standout, as I was one of the three players on my team granted captain honors this past year.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch is that I’m hungry and ready to work. Whatever position or role I may be needed in, I’m ready and capable to get the job done.
