Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set a goal this season to always play fast and play loose no matter what. My season at Western Illinois may not have gone according to plan, but I certainly was able to play loose this year and I think that will help me moving forward in my playing career.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say that I am a consistent and dedicated football player. There is no question from anyone on my team that I put in the work to be great on a daily basis and everyone knows that they are getting someone who holds the game of football as a major priority in his life.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I watch film, I like to look for coverage tendencies to different formations as well as blitz tendencies that coincide with different down and distances. I also like to watch other teams quarterbacks because I believe that you can pick up different things from other quarterbacks that can help your own game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I think what separates me from other Quarterbacks is my arm strength and my dedication to the game of football. I understand that everyone at this level is dedicated to the game, but I have developed a healthy obsession to the game of football and I believe that this obsession will drive me to the top of this profession.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan is to work with my QB coach and develop consistent mechanics that allow me to dominate my pro day as well as getting with a strength and speed coach to get in peak shape so that I can run a great 40 for my position and open scouts eyes to my athleticism.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I think the strengths I will bring to a team are my arm strength and willingness to learn and get better everyday. I also think that I will bring a unique story of adversity in football that will allow me to never take a day for granted and show people all over the world to never give up on their dreams.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to an NFL organization would be that I may not have the flashy stats in college, but I have all the physical tools required to play football at the highest level. I also have had previous experiences that have made getting to this point difficult but despite those experiences I am knocking on the door looking for an opportunity. An NFL organization would get my everything every day and would know that they have a unique opportunity to see something done in the NFL that has never been done before.
