Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The main goal was to win and this was implied in everything we did whether it be meetings, practice, lifts…etc. The mindset was “1-0” and through that mindset i was awarded ALL-PSAC honors this fall. We were the PSAC East Champions, PSAC Champions, and Regional Champions making it to the National Semi Finals for the first time in school history. These were all goals that my teammates and I set coming into this season.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I’m a very selfless guy who is very passionate about the sport. Im willing to do whatever it takes for the greater good.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I like to watch both myself and my opponents. When watching myself i am looking at my technique. I like to break that down into three segments: footwork/getoff, my hands, and my leverage. When watching the opponents i am looking for any tendencies whether it be in their punch whether its high, low, wide this will help me in knowing what moves to trigger. Watching their footwork and their stance in certain plays also helps.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My tenacity and relentless effort. Pairing that with my strength and speed is when i excel the most.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I will be focusing on my flexibility and technique through field work with a dline specialist. I will also be working with a speed training coach throughout the process.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My strengths and abilities would be my actual strength having a 450+ bench and a 700lb squat. Another strength is my knowledge of the game which helps in knowing whats coming from my opponent.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I have a proven track record of skills, versatility, and dedication both on and off the field. My commitment to my physical condition, leadership qualities, and relentless work ethic make me a valuable asset to any team.
