Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

My main goal was to lead the league in sacks at the end of the season and to prove to people that being deaf will not enable me to accomplish anything in life. I committed to working hard to be the best player I can be which strengthened my desire to do what it takes to be the greatest player a college could have.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say I’m a smart player who carries a big responsibility as the team’s leader with competitive spirit. I know how to do my job and I am willing and eager to do anything that my heart desires for the game that I love.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on tackles, my footwork and hand placement but I also study film to identify any mistakes that I may have made so I can improve by adjusting and correcting to ensure I get better and excel.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My power, speed and the desire to work harder than others as well as my passion for challenging myself to be the best that I can be. When I’m not at practice I am working out regularly, always learning and striving for greatness. I never fold when times are tough and I will continue to fight to stand out in the field. Against all odds I am a winner. Where other players are beat and they stay beat or wait until the next play, I keep going until strategically and physically I’ve overcome any obstacle. I always come back for more and will figure out how to win every time which truly separates me from other players.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’m currently training at Winner Circle Athletics in Corona, CA with an amazing gentleman named Eliseo Cabildo. We have been working on position specific drills, strength and conditioning and everything possible to prepared for draft and pro day. When I’m not physically training I focus on staying healthy and mentally preparing myself with a positive mind set.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Attitude is everything and if you are going to do anything in life you might as well do it right. I do my best to lead by example which I feel is one of my most valuable strengths I have to offer my team. Presence is also a big part of succeeding on and off the field. My ability to stay enthusiastic, maintain motivation and staying humble brings out the best in myself and brings out the best out in others. My hard work ethics and my desire to accomplish my dreams and goals will not go unnoticed. I will not quit and will always give 110% on and off the field. My team is like my family, my community is like home. When the opportunity to support, inspire others, set a good example and contribute to make life better for others and yourself. That’s what it’s all about. On and off the field I walk the talk.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Football has taught me many things including the meaning of loving, dedication, perseverance and helped me to trust in the Lord’s plan in all of life. I am truly looking forward to this opportunity to continue playing the game I love and to show myself and everyone what the results of lifelong determination looks like – no matter life’s circumstances.
