Name: DeAndre Greer

Position: DL
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 295

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

As a team, we wanted to be a national champ, but things didn’t go as planned. Although, we did have a great season. Personally, I wanted to be a great teammate and a leader for the younger guys. Also, I wanted to improve my footwork, handwork, and explosiveness.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

I believe my coaches would describe me as a silent leader. Sometimes, I will echo what is needed to be said, but often lead by example.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

There are a lot things I look for when I look at film. Initially, I look at what I can fix through practice. Whether it being footwork, technique, hand placement, etc. As far as looking at my opponents, I search for flaws in their game. I would look for tendencies and cues I could capitalize on. Also, I look at each lineman individually to see how they block.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

Some things that separate me from other players is my feet speed and high motor. As a player, I always pride myself on finishing near or around the ball. Also, I would say my attention to detail and being a quick adapter creates an advantage.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I know I will provide any team with my professionalism. A team can assure that they are bringing in a mature, quality player, who has his sights on being nothing short of his best self.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Any team who has interest should know that you will get someone that is willing to do whatever is needed of him. Every individual has a strength and weakness, but those that constantly work to improve are the ones that prevail. This is one thing I can assure.
