Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Play more Safety to add more in my toolbox and become a more complete player. As well as overcome adversity and build my character.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say I’m a big, physical DB who has a high football IQ and someone that sets a good example.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When watching film of opponents I look for things like splits, formations, if the WR is on or off the ball to figure out tendencies. When watching film of myself I look for the small details I can work on to improve my game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I’ve been through and overcome a lot of adversity which has built my character. My high IQ and versatility on top of good of my size and athleticism makes me even more valuable.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My plan is to train at Core Society in Tulsa with my trainer Sean Barger to work on pro day prep and get my field work in with my DB coach Dwight Dobbins.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
In addition to my athletic abilities I am a mature and responsible individual, someone that always keeps the main thing the main thing. I will always have standards and expectations for myself and my teammates. I am a Christian man that is always striving to grow in his faith and have a better relationship with the Lord which keeps me grounded. I also put a strong emphasis on character development in my life. These qualities make me a great leader on any team I join, any community I live in and in my own family as well.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to scouts and GM’s is if you sign me you’re getting a high level ball player. A great athlete and competitor, someone that’s versatile, intelligent and has a blue collar work ethic. I look forward to putting my ability on display at pro day this spring.
