Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

Heading into my last collegiate football season, one of my goals was to become as consistent as possible as a player. I planned to perfect my footwork and hand placement. My other goal as a Grambling State football player was to become a better leader among my peers and to try to help our younger offensive lineman this season.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am a great leader, motivator, and hard worker. I can also be described as a very passionate, aggressive, and physical player that attacks adversity and problems with the correct mindset. They would also say that I have an advanced football IQ.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

During personal film study, I watch each play four times. I do this to check my assignment, my hand placement, my footwork, and finally my effort. During opponent film study, I watch full games multiple times to find common tendencies of the defense, such as blitz giveaways, twist giveaways, etc.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My football IQ, attention to detail to the game, my work ethic, and effort all separate me from other offensive linemen.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

This offseason, I will focus on my craft, such as leverage, hand placement, and increasing my lower body strength. Your legs can never be too strong as an Offensive Lineman.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I add to the mindset of the program. My mindset is “working to receive the harvest of your effort”. I will bring a swagger to the offensive line unit which will add a sense of physicality, while having fun doing it. Off the field, I am a well groomed and respectful man. I am a man who knows how to conduct himself well in any environment.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I am a passionate and hungry football player. This is what kind of player you will get if given an opportunity, and that is all I’m looking for, is an opportunity, to show that I belong. I will prove that I can play with anyone in the world.
