Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

Coming into the 2018 season, my primary goal was to leave a lasting impression for not only my current teammates, but also those who would one day succeed us. Hard work and leading by example were the two fundamental structures to my success. In the off-season, I was able to cut my 40 yd dash time, be quicker out of my breaks, and increase my vertical.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am a passionate individual who loves the game of football. They would be sure to note that I am the type of player that puts his heart into the game, therefore puts in extra time both on and off the field.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When studying film, I focus most on the root of what enables or disabled me from completing my assignment. I want to make sure that my alignment, reads, and eye discipline are all in synergy with completing my assignment. As a defensive back, I understand the importance of taking efficient steps, knowing what my keys are, and how I’ll progress through them.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates me most from players at my position is the mental aspect of the game. I study and dissect tendencies, concepts, and formations to prepare myself for game day. I believe this type of preparation gives me an upper hand in the midst of competition.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

This offseason, I will first watch film from a lot of the NFL games played this season to focus individually on each corner in each play of every game. My goal in doing so, is to simply note the fundamental distinctions between each bad, good, and great play. Once I understand these distinctions, the plan is to incorporate them into my everyday drills. A personal trainer will help make sure that I am getting the proper workouts necessary, as well as intaking a suitable healthy diet.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I’m a true competitor. Nothing gets me more fired up than winning. With that being said, you can count on me showing up everyday with energy and effort. This winning mentality translates off the field. My daily goal is to win the day, in each and every aspect of my life. Being coachable is another strength of mine that translates on and off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My heart is a 1000% in, so I’ll never stop.
