Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

This season I was the teams leading tackler with 72 total tackles. I also was ranked 5th in the conference with (total tackles) and 43rd overall in the nation. Also, a major goal was to beat the team that I suffered my season ending injury against in 2017, Southern Miss.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am a very energetic player. I have a ton of influence on my teammates. I am a great role model for the younger players as well. I do my job and I am always looking to get better.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I study the scouting report first and see who is my opponent of the week. Once I have studied that I watch for tendencies and things the receiver likes to do. Example like what routes do they run on certain down and distances. Whether they motion a lot and if they are a main target.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates me from other players is my niche for the ball. Also I am a balanced safety, I can cover in the slot as well as step up and make a tackle. As well as blitzing off the edge. I adapt well to change and can play multiple positions. 

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

As of right now I am training with the best trainers in the DFW area. I have been attending Apec training facility in Fort Worth. As soon as I walked off the stage at graduation I came back home and dedicated my time and effort to grinding and getting better each end every day.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Me being the person I am I feel I will have a strong effect on the team and the community. I will work hard and have an open mind to any change. I will try my best with anything I do whether it’s studying the playbook or waking up early in the morning to help with community service.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I am ready to take my game to the next level! I feel that at the next level I will have the correct guidance from coaches and veteran players on the team. I will learn quickly and be dedicated to making sure I make the plays that need to be made.
