Christian Rodriguez: 2024 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Christian Rodriguez
School: Arizona Christian University
Position: DB/LB
Height: 6-0
Weight: 205

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The goals I accomplished this year was to score a touchdown and leave no regrets on the field. Scoring a touchdown with a pick six I set a school record for the longest interception return in school history.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am a competitor. In every thing football related I tried to be in the top whether it was big plays in practice or the amount of film time. My teammates would describe me as fearless. I have gone head up with linemen and running backs every play.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I like to focus on formation, D&D, and wide receiver splits. I focus on the receivers in detail when it comes to how they get out of their break or even how they walk out of the huddle on certain plays. Then I always pick a lineman that will be the tell based on how light he is on his hands, the splits and which way he leans.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from everybody is my desire to be great and my explosiveness. I thrive on dominating the person in front of me that has been training to do the same thing.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan on improving my speed and footwork as usual during any offseason. I want to especially work on my explosive endurance.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My speed, explosiveness, and tenacity are my greatest strengths on the field. Off the field I am a completely different person. I have a thirst for knowledge in everything. I am very active within my community in the soup kitchen and with children. I coached high school football for a short time but had a blast teaching athletes how to perfect their craft.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I have only had one losing season in my football career and win a championship. I plan on adding more jewelry and starting a collection. I will do anything to win.
