Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
One of the goals I accomplished was having my team make it back to the NCAA playoffs that we’ve unfortunately missed out on the last two years. And for school rivalry purposes, I had to beat IUP my last season and I had one of the touchdowns that potentially won us the game.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
My coaches would definitely say I’m a very coachable player. Well-liked among the players and staff. They would also say I’m a hard worker that got better every year.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
I first focus on what I did that I could have done better or different and I look at the CB (safeties also) to figure out how he’s playing. What signs is he giving me to expose his coverage or is he an aggressive hands on guy or a press bail guy. This helps me already prepare myself before I get set I like to know what moves I can beat whoever is guarding me.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I would say height first. I’m 6’6” which is above average at this position but I also can move very well at this height. This also helps a lot with my ability to get the 50/50 jump ball. I feel I can come down with that catch every time.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I’ve been training hard with some great athletic trainers that want to bring out the best in me that have trained athletes at all levels including the NFL so they have that knowledge and experience.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
If you need someone that can make the team better on and off the field rather it be making plays on Sundays, making donations to charities, involving myself with the community, or being a bright spot in the locker room. I can do it all. Everyone says it but if I’m given the opportunity to play on an NFL team I would not waste that chance I want to make an impact from the beginning.
