Caleb Harris: 2019 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Caleb Harris
School: North Greenville
Position: OT
Height: 6’6″
Weight: 277

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

Finish the season healthy and dominate every single opponent I step in front of. I have won awards in the past years, but I did not win any awards my senior year. Personally I feel as if I still was the best player in my position from my conference.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

Loves football, loves playing football, loves practicing, and always giving effort no matter what. Tough.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on a lot of things, I like to learn football. I look at the defense, what are they doing, coverage, D-Line formation, 2 High or 1 High, and how the box is looking. Then I look to see who are their best players, then who is my opponent, and what are his moves. Then if I have film of me going against that person I’ll watch it, or if there is a player similar to him I’ll watch that to what I did against or can do against that opponent.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

From the jump I’ll have to say my athleticism (which I’m not going to talk about right now you have to attend or wait until my Pro Day to see) but then I’ll have to say my overall passion, and love to play the Left Tackle or the whole O-Line. I want to protect the Quarterback it is fun, the only other position I would ever want to play is Strong Safety. Just because you play offense line, does not mean you are not just as athletic as everyone else out there on that field.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

With a trainer, and straight grinding getting bigger, stronger, and faster which is going to be crazy.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I want to see everyone succeed in whatever they do. I’ll motivate them to chase there dreams like I am trying to chase my dream right now, do not let no one stop you, or tell you you can’t do it.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I am the real deal. I know the level of competition is going to thrown up, but football is football, put me on the field I can play with anyone it doesn’t matter. I also want to learn the game, sit behind a veteran learn from them, and one day be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I am the most over looked player in the Country and I want to win no matter what. I’ll help the team in anyway to win.
