Brad Bonomini: 2019 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Brad Bonomini
School: Franklin
Position: WR
Height: 5’9″
Weight: 170

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

This season, I was a primary receiver for the first time in my career. With this role, I was able to excel as the leading pass catcher on our team and staple my name as a top receiver in all of Division III. I finished the year averaging 122.4 yards per game. Which ranked 2nd in the Nation among DIII. As a result, I received two All-America honors from D3football and The Associated Press. I was also awarded the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive MVP.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

They would say that I’m an incredible person who has the skills and talents to compete at any level. I’m a leader by example and a player who excels in the biggest moments.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When studying opponent film, I focus on recognizing coverages by looking for tendencies in alignment or tells from a DB’s stance. When watching film on myself, I focus on details such as steps, landmarks, and angles of my routes to perfect my craft.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My intelligence both on and off the field. I can quickly grasp offensive schemes/concepts from top to bottom. I’m a savvy route runner and I routinely bring in the catches that most people can’t make, which allows me to make big plays at any time.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Working out and continuing to get stronger everyday. I have been consistently putting on more and more mass every year and have not reached my full potential yet.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

A spark. I’ve been known to bring energy and inspire through my hustle and effort as well as through making explosive momentum shifting plays.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Throughout my football career, I have capitalized off of every opportunity given. In just one year as a primary receiver, I was one of the top receivers in all of Division III. Despite being an All-American this year, I know that I haven’t even scratched the surface of my full potential. Any opportunity I am given at the next level will affirm that I can compete and contribute to any pro team.
