Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The first goal I set for myself this season was to be All-Conference. I was able to accomplish that goal. The next goal I had was to become a conference champion which unfortunately did not happen.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I’m a hard worker and someone who’s always trying to perfect his craft. They would also say that I am a leader on and off the field and I’m someone who always leads by example.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I watch film some of the things I look for are run pass keys, any tendencies a player or the offense as a whole may have. I also look at stances, splits and how the person I’m going against likes to shoot his hands when he pass sets. That’ll determine the moves I try to do on him on Saturday.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I think what separates me from other pro prospects is my overall skill as a D lineman and my technique. I hear professional athletes talk all the time about how eventually your athleticism will start to decline and your skill and technique will be what gets you by, so I always try and pride myself on my technique as a player.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Currently I plan on taking about a week or 2 off because the season just ended but after that I plan on dialing in on my training and diet. I plan on training with our strength coach until I find a facility I want to train at. As far as opportunities go I’m currently in the process of finding an agent. Hopefully with a good agent and a top notch training regiment, the opportunities to play will find me.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I bring versatility to any team. I can play in multiple defensive schemes. I have the ability to rush the passer and to stop the run. Along with versatility I also bring determination. I want to be the best and I take my craft very seriously so teams will know that I don’t come with any nonsense. They know that they can count on me to come in prepared and ready for anything. I also bring leadership. I’ve been a team captain voted by my peers at the high school and college level. I lead by example and people respect me so I know people will follow my lead.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My final pitch to the NFL and other pro leagues would be don’t underestimate me and my ability because I played division 2 football. There are a lot of phenomenal players at this level who could compete at the FCS or FBS level and I feel as though I am one of them! I can compete with the best of them! All I need is a chance to prove it.
