Ay’Jaun Marshall: 2024 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Ay’Jaun Marshall
School: Army-West Point
Position: WR
Height: 5-11
Weight: 185

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The ability to be able to maintain my yards per catch and yards per carry. I actually increased those numbers this year. It allowed me to show my versatility and explosiveness.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I feel as though I’m a selfish player. Being apart of that type of offense I had to really learn to be selfless. I blocked most of the time, but was able to make plays when I touched the ball.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I am looking at a defense, I like to ID coverages and look at how the DB plays certain techniques. When I reflect on myself, I look at everything from the smallest cut to the biggest block.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My ability to be a factor without the football and the ability to run down on special teams and make plays. I truly believe with a workload of touches I could’ve rivaled some of the top WRs in the country. I just wasn’t given the opportunity due to the constraints of the system.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I am preparing with xenhouse. They have trained a lot of pro guys and have been helping me further develop my game as the time goes on.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I feel as though being selfish and coming from Army having that discipline. Discipline will allow you to change bad habits and maximize your good ones.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

They are going to get a type of player who just really loves the game. To put it in perspective, I went to a military academy to play football. Not many can say that they would do that for the game of football. Not many do. I am not a regular person.
