Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

A goal that I set this year was to become a better leader because we were a young team this year. I made it my priority to lead those younger guys down the right path and help them grow on and off the field, I feel like I accomplished that for sure. Another goal of mine was to help bring a CIAA championship back to Shaw and make a playoff push but we came up short unfortunately.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say that I’m a leader, that I’m accountable and I hold my teammates accountable , a player that’s more than willing to sacrifice for the team.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I like to focus on a teams offensive formations, what plays the offense will run out of certain formations, when they like to run them according to the down and distance and where they are on the field. I also study Wr alignment on the field so when I’m In the game and I see them in a cut or wide split I’ll have an idea of what they’re positioning themselves to do rather that be to give themselves space to run a route or to get a better blocking angle. Studying the offensive tackles body language also helps me with my run/pass reads.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other pro prospects is my attention to detail and I believe that the motor that I play with is unmatched, the scouting report won’t be able to help the guy in front of me.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I took some time off to take care of my body after a long season but I plan on training with my trainer back home in Gastonia and our strength/conditioning Coach here at Shaw. I also plan on changing what I put in my body as well.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

A team would get a player that will be wherever the ball is giving 100% effort. Someone who can play anywhere on the field, very versatile and physical player that can fit into any defensive scheme. My play-style is infectious to my teammates I’ll have everyone flying around. They would get someone that’s a leader off the field, someone who trusts the team’s process and tries to do everything the right way.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

What ever team decides to bless me with an opportunity will be getting someone who shows up ready to work everyday no matter how I’m feeling I’ll always sacrifice for the team if it gives us a better chance to win because that’s all I want to do is WIN. Im a real glue guy that is a versatile playmaker. I can play in the box, on the hash, Dime LB, wide 9 tech and I can also man up on the outside at corner. But I’m also SPECIAL on special teams, I’ll definitely add value to a team through my special teams play for sure. All in all you’re getting a player that’s starving, a player that’ll come in ready to do whatever it takes to help the team win.
