Position: ILB
Height: 5’11”

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

This season I wanted to prove to my teammates, family, and friends that I can play football at a high level. The biggest thing for me was staying healthy and making sure I was available each and every game.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches say that I’m a tough and physical player with the ability to lead a team. They would also describe me as someone who is hard working. First player in the building and last one out.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

The offensive line, formation, and running back depth is what I look for when watching film. Offensive lineman pre snap give me a run/pass key, if they are heavy I’m thinking run, if they are light I’m thinking pass. I’ll look to see at the guards to see if they tip off when they are pulling. I’ll look at the formations and see what the offense likes to do out of each different formation they give me. The running back also tells me a lot. If he is wife I’m thinking stretch or swing route/wheel route out of the backfield. If he is deep, I’m thinking inside zone. If he’s in front of the QB I’m thinking pass all depending on the tendencies the offense has shown me throughout the week on film.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My understanding of the game. I study the game relentlessly, always come prepared, and ask good questions. I want to put me and my teammates in the best position possible each and every Saturday and I take my preparation serious. My best ability is fitting and stopping the run by recognizes formations, indicators, and tendencies that the offense gives away.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’ve been training and Portland Oregon, lifting 4 times a week and doing technical work 5 times a week (shuttle, 40, L cone, etc.). I’ve also been dieting and making sure I’m fueling my body with good foods in order to maximize performance.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Being coachable is going to be one of my biggest strengths at the next level. When I am told to do something I’m going to be able to execute it without having to be told again. I believe I’m going to be able to adapt to different defensive schemes easily and contribute on special teams.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

If you allow me the opportunity to play on your team you are going to be getting someone who is coachable, adaptable, and someone who is going to go the extra mile to improve.
