Adam Webber: 2019 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Adam Webber
School: Greensboro
Position: DT
Height: 6’0″
Weight: 290

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

Heading into my senior season, I wanted to finish what I have started. A lot of guys come here and leave, I wanted to be one of the ones who stayed. I wanted to win multiple games, but most importantly, I wanted to become a better person and player.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

I’m a leader, I try to lead by example, didn’t talk too much, only if I was making jokes. I pretty much try to teach the guys around me how to be a professional.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on OL tendencies, how their stances are on each play, study certain movements to see if it is run or pass. Also, study to see how mentally tough the OL is that I’m facing, always can have an advantage in the mental battle.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

The will to compete and the desire to get better each day. Each week of the season I became better and better. I never wanted to give up on my teammates regardless of the score, if they see me down, they’ll get down and quit.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’ll do some offseason lifting and running with my former teammates, going to stay in shape in case I get a call.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field, I’ll stand out making plays, playing DL you don’t get many chances to make a “big” play, so when you do you have to make your opponent feel you. Off the field I’m a leader, I never give up and I’m not easily tempted to make bad decisions, you will never worry about me missing a curfew or getting in trouble.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I’m a guy who’s looking to pursue their dream by any means necessary. I’m willing to relocate, change positions, and do whatever is necessary for me to make a team.
